Joey V's 05 street/track STi - Volk, Voltex, etc. Hi, I moved to Atlanta from Boston in August '12 and am getting my MBA at Georgia Tech. I really like Atlanta and the south in general (I went to undergrad in New Orleans). I haven't been to any local meets yet but plan to attend some soon. Hopefully I'll get to meet some cool people! Anyways, about the car... It's an '05 STi. I bought it stock in October '08 and have taken it pretty far. I built it to be great on a track with appearance being second priority. Mods list and pictures below. -Joe

Sweet wheels. That diffuser looks like something Darth Vader would rock or a storm tooper. It's pretty wicked.
Man this looks just like JL889's STi. Did you buy it new, or did it have those jdm fogs on it when you bought it?
I bought it from a Subaru dealership in New Hampshire (I'm from Massachusetts) in 2008 when there were 25K miles on it and it was bone stock (no fog lights). I picked all the parts for this build myself.
Btw, thanks for the props, everybody. Hopefully I'll start to meet some of y'all soon at the local meets.

Really nice looking ride. I don't think many subie owners go to the Varsity car meets on the first Thursday of every month but I know there are quite a few car enthusiast that do. May see you out there some time.
Are you from MA? I detect an accent, haha. Btw, I'm going to try to make it to C&O tomorrow. If any of you see me there feel free to come introduce yourself!

Hell yeah, I saw your car and figured STi's should stick together, lol. That was a really fun event hosted by Forged! Do you know what car put down the most power?
Very true ! Lol I went to see if you were there but never found you . Yeah it was a real good event, forged always does great events . Got me a free T shirt ! lol I think the most hp was the black GTR put down like 730 hp.
I'm going to caffiene & octane this sunday...cruisin with the forged performance guys and their GTRs  or whatever they decide to bring Also, some pics I found from an HPDE I did at AMP in September...going into turn 6
New pics coming soon! Car looked, sounded and performed awesome out at AMP this weekend. You were hauling ass around the sweeper! I got to get some parts to keep up now hahha 1:36 is smoking fast for being so new to tracking. I'm proud of ya!
Ahh, Chadbee you found me! Haha. Thanks man! Sunday was a blast! I'm sure once springtime rolls around and you'r car is no longer stock I'll be eating your dust, lol.
We will see! I think you still a second - second and half on the table! I won't be at C&O this month because of the Santa Run Event at AMP. Come up and hang out.
Good meeting both of you this past weekend. Joey, 1:36 is stupidly fast! Next Tracks Unlimited event, I'll need to hop in and see how you handle T13 on to the front straight. Chad, looking forward to those pics!
Alright, its been a while but I got some pictures from a track day at AMP to show y'all. Thanks to ChadbeePhotography for the absolutely incredible pictures. If anybody wants their car shot by one of the best car/motorsport photographers in the Atlanta area you should contact Chad! www.chadbeephotography.com
what part of boston are you from? I played in the EJHL in Springfield for a little while. Car looks great, love the front lip. Welcome to Atlanta
Thanks man, I knew I wanted that lip before I even bought the car but didnt buy it until I knew I was moving to a place where I wouldn't have to uninstall it every winter, haha. I grew up in central MA but lived and worked in Boston for the past few years before moving to Atl. I lived in Cambridge, Back Bay, and Chinatown/Theater District. That's cool you played hockey...I played hockey in Worcester when I was really young. My car is at TopSpeed right now btw...my Ohlins struts are in NC being rebuilt by Ohlins USA. TSM is installing Endless brake pads too. AAAND I've gotten a few different quotes from them regarding motor builds and turbo setups...SS1 vs. RR1 blocks, cams vs. no cams, Dom 1.5 XT-R vs. ETS rotated GTX3076R, etc. Any input based on personal experience from the community would be appreciated!
