Kartboy Short Shifter

    Anyone ever have an issue with their Kartboy SS not being able to fit the stock wrx momo shift knob. I can even fit a Kartboy knob onto it, the ss seems to be thicker.

    EDIT: Mushroomed top thread...someone beat on it previously

    tap and die will cut it proper

    I have a tap and die that should work for you. Pat used it on his 07 wrx for a similar problem. PM me if you need help.

    maybe but i would not recommend it and ill tell you why
    depending on how bad its shroomed your end cut of the die may not be your start of the original thread.

    So i would just file and taper the ends so what if you loose a few threads

    or like i said cut it
    I have a boot holder nut that you can lock the shift knob

    all is solved if the ball to the socket was made accurately and dont need a sledge hammer to install it

    BTW its not a standard thread
