Ok my car has gotton alot louder and it sounds like valves tapping (I think) This might all be in my head but it seems there has been a tid bit of power lose and my EGTs seem to be about 100 degees colder then before. Any ideas? Oh yea AP protuned with suppoting mods and Sti top mount and the ticking noise is on the driverside. The nosie dont come till about 3k RPMs. Someone said its a valve sticking. and for some reason im thinking it could be a cracked Exhaust manifold. any input or ideas?
yep i check it everytime i get gas. heard and read to many sotires about wrx/sti being ran out of oil.
deal...if you find out let me know. I was thinking about takeing it to the dealer but i tend to not trust them
Do you have an EBCS? Is it "hard-mounted?" With the EBCS's if they are stuck to anything without sufficient damping they will be VERY audible. We normally tie them to the wiring harness, which keeps them quiet... SS
