On the way back from my friends house I noticed my boost gauge only went to 10 full boost is normally higher like 12 or something. given its cooler outside is that normal? And I am hearing so kind of "airing" sound that is not the turbo spooling. and there is some sort of substance (too hot to feel) under the dp/turbo area looks like oil but run off from something else.
    any ideas?

you actually should be able to run slightly higher boost levels with the cooler temps. do you have leak?

Weird, I've been peaking at 14.2 PSI on my Cobb AP on stage one with all this cold air.

you may be leaking only when boost psi is higher then the leak threshold. Most likely you have a leak
possible 2 places turb - Y pipe - elbow or IC to TB

Well I don't know what he meant by TB but I would just let her cool down and see if there's any sign of less oil, which admitedly might be hard to determine. But at least if you can confirm that there's less oil in there then that could be a place to start or be concerned about.

Lol. I guess I could have just wait to see if you're low on oil!

But I think there's something else going on there. I've heard of oil building up in the IC and if enough of it builds up it can have a negative affect but I don't think I ever saw what it was exactly. Obviously I wanna understand it too.

Right! So maybe it's just a boost leak but I just didn't want to rule out other stuff.

    check the simple things first
would be nice if OP is certain it never exceeds a certain PSI eveytime or is it fluctuating
