Most everyone posts about the crap that happens to them, so I thought I'd share what a great Groundhog day I had. Last year went well for my team so we had a party at work (beer, crab legs, etc.) They had a gambling company come in that sets up blackjack, craps, Texas-hold'em and provides dealers. I played Texas-hold'em and had some amazing plays (take too long to describe here, I'll tell @ next g2g if someone wants). The best part was beating a Vegas regular who usually comes out ahead. When it's all over you take your chips to buy tickets for raffle to possibly win a prize (just 2). Well I had way fewer tickets than some, but got lucky and won a nice gift-cert to best buys. yay me!

Well after being so lucky I knew I'd better buy a lotto ticket for that night's drawing (still friday). You know where this is going? Well you're right. I came super f@#$ing close to winning $64 million. At least it seemed that way when matching all those numbers. With 5 numbers + 1 powerball to match I managed to get 3 numbers and the powerball. I thought I was gonna win a few thousand or something! Well, turns out only

One hundred fifty dollars. But still was cool. All the people @ the gas station where I cashed it thought it was pretty cool too. I'll try not to spend it all in 1 place... :)

Sweet, WHY NOT spend it all in one place, specifically best buy combined with your gift certificate?

I'd buy a couple of those "500 million dollar club" scratch-offs if I were you... Its a brand new game and people are winning all over the place. Two different people won at my work for $200.00.. I'll be buying a few when I get paid this weekend.

Eh, it was @ a BP. Now if I was @ the Texaco by my house... they keep a nice choice of mags behind the counter that could eat up $150 pretty quick. ;) j/k

True... In case you haven't been able to tell, all the STi "plans" have been on hold since a *crazy* Christmas where someone didn't stay in the budget. I should be back on track for more fun & mayhem in a month or 2.
