Well that last one filled so fast we might as well start the sign-up for the next one. What we'll do is offer both SRDEC type instruction for $400 with each one of those taking two Open Track Day spots. So looking at a Thursday toward the end of March, please post up if you are interested in a $200 Open Track spot or a $400 instructed spot.

    Possible dates are:

    1) Monday March 17th
    2) Wednesday March 19th
    3) Friday March 21st

I'll make any of the days but I'd prefer to do Friday March 21st. I would like to do the instructed version, but I'd do the open track day as well. Just let me know what day and I'll send in my payment.

    Thanks

Hmmm.....I am interested. Big question for me, as I am getting more and more interested in learning. What type of prep should I do for my car in regards to brakes, tires, suspension checks, etc,? I have read that you do not need "super duper" pads to get the most out of a track event, then others swear you do.

The question is noobish, but I like to learn anyway possible!

How "serious" a pad you need depends entirely on how aggressive you are going to be, and for how long. Your first time at track you could probably go on stock pads, but if you are pretty fast, you will need to be aware of overheating them. Once you are doing well on track, and wanting to push your braking points, you will want more serious pads. I can nurse a set of stock pads all day, but they quickly become the limiting factor and it's not a good idea to be on the edge of running out of brakes...

Some people can run stock STi brakes the first 3 or even 4 times they go the track. But eventually you will want more pad. Some drivers want upgraded pads at their first track event.
