A guy at work is looking to put this turbo on his scion tc. Is any one familiar with this model? Is it reliable? The Tc has a 2.4 liter.(4 cyl) What kind of boost is the norm for this one?? Any info would be great.

Its definitely a 2.4L, but not many people that I have heard of are turbo'ing these cars. Most cars that do not have a factory turbo already cannot take a large quantity of boost. I would say 8psi at most. I would look to see what kits are available for the car that people are producing. Something that comes with a engine management system. This car will have to be tuned extensively to get it to be compatible with the turbo or supercharger.

Found one, and it looks like it can take a 18g, which just sounds stupid.

    Heres another with the 16g.

There a few kits that i know of. Turbonetics makes a kit the stock boost is about 6psi. But you can go up to about 10psi on the stock block. Also ZPI http://www.zeropointindustries.net/store/index.php?cPath=28_40 makes a kit. These kits on the stock maps will put you at about 230-250whp. The stock blocks are only really reliable around 8 psi. If there is nething else you need to know just let me know.
