So I had a catless race pipe, I love it but I took it off because I THINK it is hurting my gas mileage. I put the old one on. I've been making about 295 on a tank. Anyone thinks that putting on the factury downpipe is better. Let me know I have no idea whats killing my gas

I think the best I've done is 300, and that was nothing but highway driving with no stopping. Average is between 270-240 before the light comes on, but I do a lot of intown stuff.
    Stock, apart from a K&N drop-in.

I have an axle-back exhaust and everything else is stock. I get around 280 per tank with city driving. We took "Bettie" on her first road trip this past weekend and managed around 311-315 per tank highway driving. And that was with running the A/C the whole time. :wiggle:

I'm kinda jealous of the 2.0 guys and their gas mileage, but happy to have 2.5.

Lucky to get 260 with mixed driving... to the OP.. I think your car is fine. Gas mileage is directly affected by the go pedal.

I get about 23mpg with my 08 STI. I normally fill it up every 300 miles or so and put in about 13.5 gallons.

wow, i really must not drive my car hard enough... I realized that as years go by my mileage drops, so there must be something wrong with the car, but anywho,

    stock: 300-320 mixed city/highway
stage 2 (catless uppipe, downpipe, sti axleback and cobb ap): 310-320
now (135k miles on her): 285-310

i have hit 345 to a tank once but i`m sure i was running on vapors at that moment hehe.
