    anyone want to take this with me? wanting to get my motorcycle license.

    dates I'm looking at are april 30, may 1-2. cost is $250 and you have your full blown license when you're done.

    Weather

    * Dress for weather conditions
    * We rarely cancel a course because of weather

    Riding Gear

    You will not be permitted to participate in the course unless you wear:

    * Sturdy, over-the-ankle boots (no sneakers)
    * Long pants
    * Long sleeved shirt or jacket
    * Full fingered gloves
    * Eye protection
    * We suggest you bring water, snacks, sunscreen

    GMSP provides:

    * Helmet (for Basic Course)
    * Face shield (for Basic Course)
    * Motorcycle (for Basic Course)

    you have 90 days upon completion to take the certificate to the DMV and get your M class license

    anyone down?

    This is by far the best class I have ever taken. It is worth much more than the $250. I ride every day and most of what I use in riding comes from what I learned there. It is fun to do it with a friend, but you will learn so much more if you go alone and let the other newbies' actions fuel your own.

    I may be interested. Do you know what times the class runs from. Need to know if I would have to schedule time off from work.

    Hell yeah, i am down then. How do I sign up.

    Also, do you know where they do it. I know they do some in Alpharetta at the Honda office parking lot. Do they do one closer to you?

    Perfect. I was going to ask you about that for the Friday class. Since the class is from 6-8 and the next day one is at like 8 in the morning, crashing near Acworth would be perfect.

    We don't have to. We could just go to the DMV with a bike and take the test. Problem is, I don't own a bike, so I can't just go to the DMV.

    With this 3 day course, they provide a bike for us to learn on, something small and powerless, and at the end of the course, if we pass, we are given a waiver that we take to the DMV to get the license. The waiver exempts us from having to complete the written and on bike portion of the test, and the only thing we would need to get the license is an Eye Exam and pay the fees for license.

    You ever driven one? I hate them....they are too big and bulky for my frame to be comfortable.
