18 x 9.5 - 30 offset P45r's. They clear the inside just fine, but stick out about 2 inches... which isn't a problem since I am flaring the fenders.
i know its probably a dumb question but are you running the 114.3 hubs from the new sti's? the RS with p45r's in 17x9.5 was posted a while back and was wondering if they made them in a 5x100 patern or just 114.3.
Dash, wiring harness, ABS, and DCCD are now in. I will be removing the dash to paint the car, but wanted to test fit so I could weld on my brackets before paint. Also I decided to swap over the complete ABS from the 06sti. Having the ABS system working should drop the laps times and make the car much easier to drive on wet courses.
once the ABS went into the car there was no way I could run the LGT intake manifold in the reverse style like I wanted. So that Idea was ditched
very cool. I missed the discussion on why you wanted to use a LGT intake. Did it allow you more flexibility somewhere else?
According to SubyDude.com, the wheel mainly comes in a 5x100 pattern. Doug's size isnt even listed, so you'd have to try another distributor. Anyways, they list all of the color options in a 18x8 size with a 5x100 boltpattern. http://www.subydude.com/osc/product...d/426?osCsid=a5745188c99a6daf857f3ecd9520543e
the p45r's are only 114.3, Rota says they should be out early next year with the 4 x 100 in the p45r's. Untill then you can get the p45f's they look similar but are not the same wheel. The p45f's come in 5 x 100 and are made for the subaru.
saw this car in person yesterday when i stopped in to say hi. it's one bad muddah, plain and simple. i think all it needs is a RWD conversion and me behind the wheel, lol.
Here are some new pics of the rear diffuser. It starts at the front of the gas tank and extends two inches past the rear bumper. I built if out of aluminum, and its plenty strong enough for me to stand on with out it coming off. It weights in at 15bs which is more than I would like, but I feel the added benefits will out weight the extra weight. Right now its unpainted, I will most likely paint it flat black today. Here are some old shots of the motor, right before I finished up a few little things to it.
Nice. I see you made your own rotated kit. Your FMIC piping is interesting. Any reason you went that route vs a rotated manifold? Is it shorter? If so how much? Anyways looking good man.
This thing just keeps getting sexier!! Is that diffuser sharp at all? I mean, I know noone will be back there playing or anything, but are there any safety issues with that??
Its pretty sharp.. I feel sorry for the firts road kill that going to get hit during onelap. lol Slice and dice them, on a serious note it could inflict bodily harm so one must be careful not to run their leg into it.
wow! that looks great and should be quite the monster on the track especially with that shredder on the back lol... looking foward to seeing it sometime
Got her on the dyno today, after trying different turbine setups and swapping headers. I was able to make three pulls, before the radiator sprung a leak so I had to stop. Oh well, guess that gives me a good excuse to put the PWR radiator I have here in it now. I was however able to tune the car at wastegate pressure @ 15psi. This run was made on 104oct 15psi. I am extremely happy with how much power the car is making so far. Tomorrow I will put her back on the dyno and tune it to 23psi. Hoping for high 400's, maybe 5 (keeping fingers crossed). Note the insane quick spool up for a GT35r, I am hitting full boost by 4k. Not to shabby for a "stock block STi" 385hp 348tq @ 15psi
Yeah, I drove the car around yesturday. It was running alot more boost then, but no header. The car was absolutely the fastest thing I have driven in a long time. I would go as far as saying it was scary. Today my goal was actually to try and get the boost to come up more linear, as it was coming up so violent before that the car was not driveable. Its not a cool feeling when you got 265's that start to spin mid turn on throttle...... oh wait maybe that is a cool feeling. Anyway the car will be quicker and easier to drive around a road course when its less violent.
Still climbing... now @ 22psi, conservative timing and 11.8 afr's. Still on 104oct unleaded, I think there may be a boost leak so I am going to stop and check for leaks. Then put her back on the dyno to finish it up. 464hp 427tq @ 22psi
Some new pics, sorry for the crappy camera phone pics. I will get some better ones tomorrow when I get a chance. Still have to finish the front aero, but untill then you can get an idea of what it looks like now.
that is going to be disturbing on the track...plus you are competing against what...a nissan s-er or something?
