Hey guy, I got the TiC super shifter kit back in june and i never got around to installing the bushings. So i think I finally have some time to install them but I'm little unsure about it, can anyone who's done it before give me a hand? Thanks!:)

you're gonna really kick yourself for not doing it sooner, once you get it done.

Let me know if I can help out, I'll be more than glad to.

I need to do this too, I have a set of kartboy bushings just my ramps don't allow the car to be up enough to actually access the bushings well or even see them.

crash.... we can knock your bushings out at the same time if you'd like.
I think we're shooting for sometime next weekend to swap Steve's bushings, so let me know if you'd like to swing by and swap 'em out.

hehe... tell the wife you broke your other one and had to order a new one.

Truthfully, you'll be better off ordering the bushings versus the shifter.

I have installed the Tic Super Shifter package few weekends ago and I have a quick question for those who are using the Kartboy shortshifter. I have installed "Kartboy Front AND Rear Shifter Stay Bushing, the Kartboy Shifter Lever, and 6MT pivot bushings." so the only thing left is the TiC linkage bushings, now it seems the shifter is VERY diffcult to shift with the new bushings, takes much more effort than stock and every shift seems to be tedious. It also seems there is something in the way, very notching feeling, so my question is that is this to be expected with harder bushings? So I'm thinking about taking it to SoG (what is the best method of contact? Cant find Scott's phone number) for them to take a look or anyone else care to check it out for me.

Also, I hear my tranny to whine quite a bit now, is this also normal? I am very paranoid at this point.

I don't know the effect of all the stay bushings, but when I put in the pivot bushings and tighten the bolt too much, it was pretty damn hard to make the shifts. So check that and see if you over tighten it, it should only be torque to like 8 ft-lb, so barely tight.

Thank you, I'm sure I overtightend it by a lot haha, the instructions from TiC did not have torque-specs so I I tightened everything down so nothing will fall loose with driveline vibrations. Thank you again and hopefully this works :sx:

Well looking like I probably will not be able to make this. Wife had to go to the hospital last night and I am trying not to spend too much time away from her if at all possible for the next couple days. She is out now and is most likely fine, but I am going to limit my time from home to running to grab my short block and heading back to the house.
