I have a Greedy profec b spec 2 and I need to know if any one knows what the settings should be for a wrx with stock turbo. I have an upipe and down pipe and cat back and an injen intake. I need to know what the set boost, Gain, and start boost setting should be if possible. HELP

I'd strongly recommend running this past a tuner to see how good of an idea it is if you're running stock engine management...

haven't had an issue yet, I have had it on the car for a while now, I was just wondering if maybe someone was using one also, and if so what was there set up, I believe i have it set according to my mods, was just curious though.

    Thanks,

i would not exceed 16psi in third. thats about all the stock ecu will handle. i used to have a mbc on my stock ecu. never played with the profec 2. hope this is a good starting point.

cool thanks, I already have it set for 16psi and it won't boost over seems to run pretty strong, I will get tuned when I upgrade the turbo, injectors, etc. Which I plan too, One question I do have is why did my engine lite come on when I put in an upipe and is there a way I can turn it off, the code states that car is running below catalyst level. I know I don't have any cats.

Please do some datalogging and see what your A/F ratios are as you're boosting. I'm betting you're seeing some pretty serious boost on a lean mixture, and while the car obviously runs ok so far it's not necessarily GOOD for it...

Even if I am boosting under 16 pounds it still will run lean? I thought you could boost stock wrexes to 16 pounds no problem? Or is that not true?

Pounds of boost is not 100% related to do the mixture. On a stock 04/05 the enrichment delay causes the car to run quite lean under boost before it switches into open loop fueling. On a stock car it can be 2-3 seconds after you stomp on the throttle; if you're boosting faster/harder through the use of a boost controller you're exacerbating the issue.

You really oughtn't mess with any of this stuff without doing some type of logging to see how it affects things.

i think if you use ecutek its around 850 or so for the reflash and a couple hours of dyno or road tuning depending if you use s.s.(subaru of gwinnett) or doug (topspeed). both are great tuners. scott mostly road tunes and then dynos and doug dyno tunes and then road tunes. i guess youll have to pick on who seems to be sexier to you

Not sure about Utec cost, but Ecutek runs $850 generally as brett said. Another option--which I personally prefer--is the Cobb AccessPort which you can score for around $500 used and will give you some rather decent off the shelf maps you can run for as long as you want (you might want to see if the Injen intake is ok with their supplied maps though). You can also spend another $300 on top of that to get it professionally tuned ala Ecutek.

Ecutek reprograms the stock ECU. Same for Cobb AccessPort/ProTune. Utec is a piggy back add-on.
