needs some body work done but it's a fun car. 280z supercar ftw. Once the bodywork is dealt with it's going turbo it's a project so obviously there is a good bit of work to do.

    Right now it has
l28e stock motor, newly rebuilt with all OEM parts
    dual electric fans
    new radiator
    cold air intake
    old school nismo headers
    5spd
3" exhaust with 18" resonator, stainless tip
    racing seats with harnesses
    fuel cell
    RSTB
    FSB
    RSB
    Tokico Springs
    KYB strut inserts
    h4 headlight conversion
    new steering rack
    MSD blaster ignition
    sportmax 002 wheels 16x8
    fuzion ZRI 225 50 16

In columbus I knew a guy who put a rotary in one of these. Sick. He also did an Ae86 and another Datsun. Can't wait to see it done! Have fun!

    A 1978 280z was my first car.

I've daydreamed often of getting one and restoring it and tuning it up. definitely keep us updated on your progress.

That looks like a great project car.

I heard mention of people dropping Ford 302 V8's in 280Z's.

I woudn't think that motor would fit, or it would through the F/R weight distro way off.

    Has anyone heard of this?

most people drop in 350s if they drop in v8s... popular swap and they make conversion kits. Personally i like to keep it nissan. I'll be going turbo

lol well if anyone wants to help, when i get going on the turbo conversion i know i'll need some help with tapping oil and or water lines and general wrench turning. beer and whatnot provided. And Alex i'll bring it by your place tomorrow you can glance at the lights. Interior wise nothing will be done except i'll prob put the door panels back on. It's stripped inside and in the engine bay so the thing is light for when it's running right :)

Man, Z owners put EVERYTHING in them. 350's, LS2's, RB26dett's, RB25DET's, 3 rotor wankels, everything....
