I am the proud owner of a 2002 wrx as of yesterday. My girlfriend didn't like the fact that my 93 mx-5 was my only car and I couldn't help out with her daughter. I convinced her to let me pick this up!

The car was totally neglected. First and foremost I need a new hood. The p/o decided to drive it without the hood latched on the day he sold it to me! I got a significant discount for this. It doesn't brake well and pulls left when I brake. I have the chore of taking the poorly done plasti dip off of the spoiler, side skirts, and roof and stripping the flaking rattle can paint job off the 17 inch volks. lastly I need to replace the mismatched used tires that i'd be afraid to go anywhere on.The car needs an overall tune up. It's throwing a code from the egt delete which I hope to fix with a resistor.

On the bright side the car has 127k, has a clean interior, has a full 3" cobb exhaust, a short throw shifter with a decent knob, some hella rally lights, shifts perfectly, and pulls HARD! I fell like I got a pretty decent deal on it (62.5% of asking price) so its time to get to work!

If anyone has any leads on a hood (hoping for white) or some decent wheels/tires I can get by with in the mean time please lmk!

Looking forward to meeting many of you and possibly doing some mt. runs at some point.

    Pics to come!

Welcome! Do you know if it's tuned for the turboback exhaust? That might fix some issues.

I'm guessing it's not based on the P/o knowledge and the sometimes unusual idle. I need to look into this

If it's pulling to a side when you brake, you might have a seized caliper.
