You know what when the new body style of the wrx/sti models came out . I hate to even look at it. But know what it has growed on me. I'm like it more every time i see a wrc picture. The more im thinking of it i'm debating on keep working on my wrx or trade it in for a new sti.

    dam sexy!

OK I will spill the beans because its been a few months already and not like it will effect the price of my car.

I researched for a long long time. Got hooked when I saw you guys go round and round screaming and screeching across from my house - Gwinett Fairgrounds. I missed out on the deal of the SAABARU but i know that if i am patient I will find one. So i looked everywhere and knowing what they went for NEW i had a lot of bargaining power. For the same price i cant even touch a 2004 WRX wagon with a lot more miles.

I found one in NY, and on the frozen day of 2005 I flew up to court it and bring her home. I had the ultimate test drive through snow and sleet and all the mountains of NC (stopped there for 3 days). blah blah blah blah,.....

I paid $17000 for a 4700 mile 9-2x with hotseat and seller gave me credit for 2 little dings and got oil change and detailed car the day i picked it up. Also received a 40+ point inspection record by SAAB, prior to departure from ATL.

    My9-2x history

I still hate the 06 front end. On the rally car, yes it is uber hot, but it is because of the Widebody Fenders and lets face it, I don't think they can make the WRC car look bad.

Ok...i dont know much about the Saab 9-2x. I thought i heard something about the similarities between that and the WRX. Does Subaru have their hand in Saab? Does the 9-2x and the WRX have the same motor or just same specs? Someone give me a little history on this subject.

Gm owns saab and they used to have 20% stock in FHI, which is subarus parent company. they changed up the front and called it a 92x, its exactly the same as a wrx wagon, even made in the same plant.

EDIT: i beleive this is also the last year for the 92x becasue late last year Gm sold off its shares in FHI to toyota.

I really didn't like the 06 at first. I knew it would grow on me eventually. It is starting to grow on me and i'm starting to like it a little. I don't think i'll ever like the 06 better than 04-05 (which is why i bought the 05)... I've always loved that big open grill look... As far as the WRC 06? Its a WRC!!! :D :D :D of corse its hot!!!

I'm just waiting on aftermarket grills for the 06. I'm sure it'll make it tolerable for me. The new headlights are nice though

exactly.. i think the '06 is still ugly as sin, except for the wrx car.. the grill on the wagon looks better than the sedan, but still like the old over the new.

At first I was unpleasantly shocked with the 2006 Impreza front end restyle.

I was scouring for a low mileage 2005 STi because I so disliked the new front end, but when I saw the 2006 cars for a second time in person the style seemed more natural, and I was ready to turn in my 2004 WRX for an '06 STI.

I do think that for 2006 the lighter color cars ( crystal gray, white, and steel gray) look better with the blue and black vehicles when viewed from the front.

well i think the 06 front end is way better then any wrx ever.. but i love the bug eye look... i there is going to be a restyling in 07 or 08 i think 08 or 08 is the year they have to restyle it again it's like some kind of order.. i want then to make a front end with bug eye style and make them limited ed's .... like only 1000 ever made or 500

damn the looks, it's all about the new wrx bottom end torque, which definetly is there.
