I thought i read something before about noisy windshield?mirror area? Is it me or is my car too loud on the freeway.wind noise.?
hmm..i never noticed anything loud about the windshield. The mirror rattles when I have my music loud..nothing abnormal though :dunno
at about 130 MPH+ (at least in a 02 wrx sedan) a loud whilstling noise occurs. It's more lower pitched and you can replecate the sounds with a hum more so you actually whistling. I have heard it a few times before and the first time freaked me out. After researching it I found that it was because it was the way the air flows around the side mirrors. I don't know if this is what you are talking about but I thought I would throw it out there. and when i say low pitched I don't mean like bass, just a little bit lower than a normal whistle... if that makes sense...
Is the windshield a factory unit? I had mine replaced recently and it made a bad wind noise, complete with water leak. A little caulk later and she is all good. Don't forget there is a large protruding scoop on the hood that could contribute to wind noise!
yeah my windshield wipers are making alot of noise too.. ppl told me they replace them every year or two .. and i also do not have any water in it righ tnow.. gotta replace them asap ..
