Well, after earlier emails from the Nopi people this year, initially, with the poor economy, they decided to cancel the event this year. Then about 3 months ago, they announced that they were going to have a few events around the country, but not the one in Atlanta. I think the closest one was South Carolina or Maryland. Well, today, I got an email that they are now adding Atlanta back to the 2009 schedule, but wait, it gets even better. Nopi Tunerfest Shootout September 19 This event was created for enthusiasts by enthusiasts. With this in mind and the down turn in our economy TFS & NOPI has decided to throw a completely FREE event this year! Thats right, a FREE Car Show with awards/ca$h prizes, FREE Dyno Contest w/ Ca$h Prizes, and FREE FOOD/GAMES!
That's funny that you bring this up because they're having motorsport nationals at atlanta motor speedway i think it said it's sepetember 19 and 20, also that it's still the same thing as NOPI the just changed the name because of the economy.
One on Sep 19th is actually called TunerFest, NOPI is supporting it. Well it's called NOPI TunerFest now. Dyno runs are getting Pre-Registered, first come first serve, and going fast. It will be good if we can come up with a Dyno List. I'll be more than happy to put it in que. No one is supporting Motorsport Nationals, they have a VERY bad rep among the community.
You obviously believe everything you read on IA concerning Motorsport Nationals, you might want to check into some facts before spreading the rumors.
It not only on IA....Batlground, 240atlanta.com, and NOPI it's self isn't supporting MSN. Rumors are rumors one can believe or once can completely ignore.
September festivities If you guys can attend any event in September, make sure its LeMans at Road Atlanta. Nopi is fun, but you'll have a better time and be amazed at LeMans...
