so I installed my speakers today. a pair of kappa on the front. Holy CRAP!!!! WHAT THE HELL WAS SUBARU SINKING!!!!?!?! The door panel design SUX!!!! It took me 6hrs to install and I broke a piece of the driver side door panel!!! I now can't open the freakin door from inside.GRRR
Like anything else patience is a virtue Do it once and you learn a good bit so that the other side is a breeze.
Dude....the door panel design for SUBARU rocks. I can have a full set of speakers installed (all 4 doors) in under 1 hour.
Okay Mr. Master Technician...you have nooooo say-so in threads like these. Not all of us have the luxury and pleasure of working on Subaru's all day every day!
I have to agree with you. jyang - Next time, ask for some help. I am sure you could have gotten someone to help, and it would not have taken 6 hours. I could have swapped all four door speakers in about 1 1/2 to2 hours, tops.
2 screws and a bunch of plastic pops and the door card is off knowing where the plastic pops are is the key helps if you wind the window down an inch or so from full
well the problem was getting my 2" deep speakers to fit without windows touching it and placing spacers so that the door panel would actually close .. I hope there won't be nexttime ;p
