So there I was on 285 in a "rally inspired" car, torrential down pour and I can't see a damn thing. The wipers are slogging back and forth turned on high and I have my damn nose against the window trying to see. Maybe this was a problem that Subaru addressed but my 2002 wiper motor is lame as hell and dangerous in a hard downpour. The big question is, is there a mod for this, is there turbo for my wipers?

I thought maybe Brett started this thread....

There are a few other similar products that people swear by versus Rain-X, though it has always worked well enough for me...

Your wipers are only going to work as well as they are maintained. You need to wash your windshield and rain-x it, as well as replace your wipers periodically. It may just be time for new wipers for ya ;)

I also use the Rain-X windshield washer fluid, its like putting Rain-X on everytime you use your washers.

Yes I have that and it freaking rocks!

I hate applying rainx manually though....what a pain with that haze.

Rain X makes for the need to NOT use the wipers.

Honestly a good set of wipers and a clean windshield go a long way. Rain-X doesn't hurt either ;)

    +100 for rain-x

I have rain-x washer fluid, as mentioned before, and it rocks

but most importantly get some good wipers such as bosch icons or valeo.

I just use some cheap wax, water just rolls right off.

Make sure you clean the windshield well before you apply this stuff though.

Also take a damp towel and run them along your wiper blades, helps get some grim off them. Only use water though!
