online stock investment

    Any recommendation?? There is Vanguard, E-Trade, AmeriTrade... Does anyone have personal experience??

    i like etrade and sharebuilder. both are easy to use, reasonably priced. there's a lot of them out there though.

    one reason i like sharebuilder is that you don't have to buy whole shares, just dollar amounts. it's kinda like building your own mutual funds.

    E*Trade is fine; they tend to dick you on customer service if you have a small account though.

    Also, make sure you know WTF you're doing before jumping in on investing in individual equities. And/or use money you can afford to lose.

    I totally forgot about sharebuilder. Thanx, monk.

    I'm just beginning to build little more diversified portfolio. Of course, I'm doing this with little side money for future not for living. If you guys want to share some your personal tips, my PM box is always available.
