Its so hard to judge from low res pics (or hi-res for that matter). Alot of these colors take on different properties in the light. I know Mazda has done some orange metallic colors in the past that have looked pretty nice...

I seem to recall hearing that the Japanese were starting to use 2.5's.... but of course you can't believe everything you hear.

Thats what I first thought when I saw the pic. It looks like the Mazdaspeed Protege orange, kinda a bad design move since the 06s already have a Protege-look.

The US is the only country that has a 2.5 STI. FIA Regulations for WRC require a 2.0 Litre Engine. They also require the manufacturer to make a certain amount of vehicles with that configuration to be eligible to compete. . I believe that the requirement is for something like 5,000 cars. So Subaru can not switch to 2.5 litres in all markets or they would no longer be eligible to compete.

Also, the only reason we have a 2.5 block is because of Emissions laws. Subaru could not build an STI with a 2.0 block that meets their performance numbers and still pass emissions in the US. So we get a 2.5 block to up the hp numbers, ut yet can still pass CAs strict emissions laws.

and the only reason they went to a 2.5 was to get more tq and to get around the LAME ass bullshit California Emissions. I hate that state so much for that reason.....Stupid asses!! :furious:

and damn you Jason for editing your post at the same time I was posting mine!!!
