Performance with/without silencer

    Does a silencer at the tip make a lot of hp difference ? I have invidia g200 and its silencer is 2" diameter

    it can be anywhere from 5-15hp depending on how restrictive the silencer is.

    you need an STi catback. Quiet, OE fitment, easy to find, not too expensive...and is a dramatic increase in power over the stock unit.

    Will,

    when you say "dramatic", how much hp are we talking about? 10? 20?

    I bought my catback as a package (with dp and ap) but I don't think the loudness + 10hp is worth the $550 price tag. So, I'm thinking about selling it and get an uppipe and sway bars.

    what are the price range for the STi catbacks?

    Muffler anywhere from $100 to $200.

    You'll need the mid pipe (or your stock WRX one will work, they are the same) as well.

    Its the same gain. Just sell your catback.

    yes. when I had the silencer in my Invidia it made a huge negative lowend difference
