my father works in Braselton for IMSA (Interna'l Motor Sports Assoc.) which sanctions these events. next year when i'm back...i'll be there and possibly i can get a few VIP pit passes for a few of ya'll.
I've been there the past 3 yrs as well and will definitely be there this year. A little upset that the Porsche won't be there though. Should be lots of other good racing though.

I'd like to see if we could arrange to get a corral or something. Just some space for, say 4 tents and a decent view of one of the turns in the track, coolers, etc. This, of course, could be thinking too far in advanced, but who knows. If we can pool the money or something perhaps... Anyways, I'd like to go, gonna need to check the schedule.

I'm going for a bachelor party!!! There will be about 10 of us or so. We're camping out Saturday night. What time we get there depends on what time we pass out Friday night. What's a bachelor party without tity clubs, right? We are going to try and camp in the woods, infield, right at the S's. We might have a large standing tent don't know yet, we'll be loud and drunk for sure. Stop on by. I don't think I'll drive my car. We need to pack as many people in cars as we can. It's like $25 to drive into the infield. So I'll probably be in my girls red Escape with Thule bike racks. I'd love to see who ever stop on by and have a couple of brews with us.
man, that's crap! i was so psychied to see a porsche prototype. and no lamborghinis! do we know why no lamborghinis? all but one DNF'ed last year from what i remember, but they sounded so awesome screaming down the back stretch.
i thought they both DNF'd last year... i heard rumors that the lambo team was up for sale right after the race since the team didn't get the support they expected to get from the lambo company... i was all over the s7 and the mc12... bad ass cars... hope they r competing this year and beat the vettes
my girl LOVES the S7 after that race. it's a beautiful car. i thought there were 3 Labos for some reason, might have been the beer. :naughty: here's proof one DNF'd. hahaha
and this is what's all about for me. i love sitting on the back straight and smelling their exhaust. watching them just rip by. this is actually my bro-in-law, not me.
I believe that's what I heard as well. The Astons supposedly gave the Corvettes a run for their money earlier in the season, so that should be a good fight.
if i remember correctly, both lambos were sitting off the track at the same spot at different times during the race... ive never seen the astons... i bet they're bad ass
so i learned the reason the Porsche isn't going to make it for the P1 class. They have done a few 4 hour races earlier in the season. The tests they've done for longer races proved that their gear box just won't hold out. Basically, they know they can't finish the race on the tranny they have in the car right now.
