Is there a free website that you can look up unknown numbers that call you to see who it is...?

if they are cell phone, no. if they are landline, I always use one of two places...

    www.google.com

    or reverselookup.com

but, as stated, they will not work on cell phone numbers

www.anywho.com is good. They don't have cell phone capability yet though, Greg.

that's all fine and well, but cell carriers are refusing to publish those numbers...it's one of the few 'privacies' we have left....

PM it to me and I can look it up and see what carrier it's on

my ex-roomate almost sued Cingular because they gave out his home phone and address to some random chick.

but instead he told him he wanted the most expensive phone they had to offer. and they gave it to him.Blackberry 8800 i think?

I believe you can still determine the cell phone carrier by the number. Just google around> i was able to track down a cell number the carrier and then did some simple social engineering to get some more details out of them.
