If I don't decided to keep the WRX, what should replace it?

This is my goal for my personal choice!

That's a pretty wide open question. What is it you need/want in a car?

another important question is how much do you want to spend??

The Audi/BMW are going to be expensive to mod/repair.
The Acura not so much, but it's fwd so it's an entirely different game.

my vote's for the wrx..... mod it out and enjoy.

I was personally very disapointed in the legacy gt. We drove one when Beth was looking at the Limited and it was just slow and boring.

    $$ wise, I wasn't going to break $25k.

I have not driven the LGT, but its out of the $ range anyway.

The WRX is probably the best financial option right now, and it is fun, but I kinda wanted a change of Styling.

By no means is it a rush, but my 2month Ex-tern just went Full-time and I got a pretty good pay bump.

I like the S60 R, but damn are they pricey!

Sorry, my goal was to mod the A4 to look similar to that. That particular A4 is sick, the mods on that car is nearly $15k.

Which ever of the options I chose, I will keep for at least 3-4 yrs.

the cl is a nice car but its FWD, the audi would probably be the one to go with if you dont keep the subi but im just not a german motors fan. I refuse to own bmw or mercedes because the owners are all the same.

As Ped said, and speaking from experience, repairs and mods will be expensive on the BWM (and Audi). Acura...blah to me...front wheel drive, mediocre performance...just not exciting.

I would keep the WRX, or better yet, trade up to a used STi :bigthumb:

there are good incentives on a LGT you might find a dealer willing to work with you. Or you could PM me and I can get you a VIP hook up.

Slowwrx: You really thought the LGT was slow and boring? I drive them all the time and my modded WRX. Frankly, I like the LGT more sometimes. The Mid range is nice and the balance is wonderful

See to me it just felt big under powered and slow, kinda like a 5 series bmw but without the pull, turn in was ok but it plowed just like most stock subarus(i know its designed to do that). I just didnt care for it.

I would much rather have an STI for the same money

An 5-speed automatic LGT is very quick, not far behind a stock wrx. And it brings a more solid, quiet, and adult feel to the game. And if you could get the money look at the b-spec.

Euros are just too expensive in the repairs department. And IMO (at least BMW) are over-engineered and it just leads to more problems. But I'm sure that's not always the case, just a generalization.

The tl would be a great car... but for same money, a newer car, and just as quick... just get the LGT.

The TL is a very ncie car. My mom drives a 2002 type s and it's no slouch. If you could pay for a 2004+ though, that would be the way to go. A little more powerful, better handeling, and you can also get them with a nice 6-speed manual (acura manual transmissions are sex). Of course there is the FWD, if that's not your thing.

I don't think you can really go wrong with either the Audi or BMW. Like everyone else said, they just cost more to maintain.

You know about the wrx. It's a great car, but it looks like you kind of want something with more class.

LGTs are cool, but I feel that they are kind of a bastard child. They are an attempt at luxioury from a non-luxioury manufacturer. And while they are indeed nice, there's more of a pimp factor with Aud, bmw, or even acura.

BMW owners are all the same???? I hope that i'm not a typical BMW owner. I would get an STi, there is nothing like it out there right now (well except for an EVO). The only other cars I would look at would be the new 335i or the soltice GXP.

    I can't understand the question.

Why get rid of a 2002 WRX?

    ;)

In a more serious vein, I've met two people at track days at Road Atlanta who complained about how heavy their Audis are. The first one was the instructor who rode with me at a BMWCCA event a year and a half ago. The second was this weekend at lunch. I believe they were both driving A4s

    FWIW.

How 'bout a beautiful Deep Blue Pearl R32 with 16K miles? Not sure I could part with it for $25K though...
