Are there any rally events in Georgia? Seems only ones I ever hear about are in Florida, or N.C. Any closer to home? I'd like to go to one someday. Dunno if I want to participate just yet, but I imagine they're pretty interesting to watch.

i swear, whenever i get my own house + land, i'll buy a bobcat and flaten the land and make it into dirt so I can play.

There are two in Tenn. one in the Cherokee National Forest, which would be the closest to GA. Then there is also one on the other side of Tenn., like 8 hour drive, but its the only tarmac rally in the U.S. My favorite, is Sandhills Sandblast in Cheraw, S.C., which is about 4-5 hours from you guys, but well worth it. Sandblast and Cherokee will be in the spring, Feb. and March normally. Rally Tenn. is in the fall, but I never get a chance to make it. Check out the NASA Rally Sports calender for ESRC and USRC. I would be glad to organize something for Cheraw, if you guys wanted to crash halfway and carpool. A couple of buddies and myself normally work the stages, start and finish controls, but I am thinking about running an entire stage this Feb. I think its the best way to support rally in the U.S.

They should have a new schedule for 2007 fairly soon.
