I'm trying to redo the door panels inserts, but I'm not sure what subaru was thinking when they built these panels. You can't separate the pieces to the panel; they are plastic welded thus making it difficult to get the material on. I think i'm going to cut the welds and drill screw holes and hope I don't f up anything too bad. wish me luck. I'll post pics if I ever get done.

completed interior makeover: I was able to cut the plastic welds with an exacto knife and then take apart the 2 piece door panels. I drilled holes and then used pan screws to hold the panel back together after gluing my white vinyl inserts that I cut where the blue ones once were. I also painted my gauge bezel white. It looks very nice and sets off the interior quite nicely. I will be adding a white shifter and e-brake boot to match. I will post some pics and you can let me know what you think. In the long run I plan to add leather seat covers that are black with the white inserts.

I think the white e-brake and shifter boots will be next. Redlinegoods.com makes some excellent leather boots and covers. I'm trying not to make it look too ricey; so let me know if I go too far :)
