quick question. I was going to buy these for my 02 wagon but they are off of an 06 saab. I didn't think there would be a problem but I want to double check before I drop the cash

Yeah, you'll need some expansion nuts to fill the holes in your roof when you pull the rails off though. You can get the blocking plates from a saab dealership for ~$10 a piece (need 4), or get a box of expansion nuts for $3.

I've got a nice writeup on here for swapping roof rails from when I did it a while back. Its easy and completely transforms the look of the wagon.

are the blocking plates that much better? this is the first I have heard of them everyone else just says use the nuts. also do I really need to go ahead and order all the clips suggested? its about $35 worth.

Blocking plates do the exact same thing. Honestly if you dont have them just go with the locking nuts, but if you're doing a direct swap with a 9-2X he'll have no more use for the plates so you can take them.

You dont need an entire set of clips but get at least 5 because you will end up breaking a few popping off the old trim.
