RWD conversion

    How would go about doing this to my car.. i have a 2007 sti and love my car and love drifting! is this a hard process? would it be real pricey?

    Iirc someone makes a kit to do this. Basically a locker for the center diff and removes the front diff and axles.

    i think it comes with a stronger rear diff also

    Someone makes a rwd center diff, go to japanparts.com.

    You do not remove the front axles from the car

    Like most things, it is possible. However, for the headache and money you are about to throw at it I would just assume buy a second vehicle dedicated for drifting.

    for real. Just buy a cheap rx-7 or 240 and drift that instead. You'll spend way more
    buying diffs and whatnot to convert it than you would buying a specific drift car.

    Or you could always just finds rwd tranny you like and have someone make you an adapter ate so it will fit the engine. By the time you sold the Sti tranny you'd have a good bit of money to play with.

    x2 on rwd car before diff swap. It seems every year at formula d the stis break something. Subys just werent meant for rwd.
