Whats up guys? does anyone know anything about the saab 9-2x (2005)? it comes with a 2.0 and 2.5 subaru boxer motor, also subys drivetrain. the question is: Is the 5 speed tranny in the saab stronger than the wrx 5 speed? i have not heard anything about there trannys having any problem, but they don`t modify them like we do, that could be it also. i just did not know if seeing that the are in a higher class than subaru if there tranny internals could be stronger or could have ra gearsets in it or something. let me know what you find
the saab is actually pretty bitchin' it has the 2.0 from the wrx, and the same drivetrain. the interior is nicer on the saab, quieter, etc. plus it has the STi steering rack which is cool. I dont know about the tranny, but I assume it is probably the same as the 05 WRX.
i just got off the horn with will. they are the same, as we know the 02-04 wrx has there own tranny issues but the 05 on is a better 5 speed upgrade then it`s older brothers. the same thing for the saab, it has the upgraded trans. it would be crazy to have a sti powertrain in the saab!!! wgat a sleeper, i think i will look into it.

Theres this nice thread about this guy that tore down a 92x motor and was surprised what he found in it...Ill try and find it. My brother has one as well, we've only fooled with lighting mods at this point. I am nearing completion on his TSX retrofit
