Shift Light

    I was reading on cars101.com about the stock shift light on the '06 STi, and it says that it has the flashing light plus an alarm... Mine just flashes... Is there a way to turn the alarm on also?

    your exhaust is probably too loud.
    I know I can't hear mine, just see the flashing light.

    I remember something a while ago about being able to turn the alarm on and off. Could be off?

    turn the knob on the left once wait a sec till display something like on/or off..then turn it again after the first beep and it will turn on

    yeah... first time u hit the knob, u hear a beep and u can set the desired RPM... leave it alone for a second... u will hear another beep and the display should say either 'off' or 'on'... turn the knob again to 'on'

    i have a blitz nur spec-r and my car is pretty loud... i can hear the shift beep even with all the windows rolled down
