I found this while searching for a spare tire sub enclosure. Looks very nice and decent price. From reading the thread, the sedan has everything including new top floor piece, whereas, the wagon is just the box now, but new floor piece is in the works.

Do I smell a group buy?

Have you seen the Evolution Auto sub enclosures?

They are a nice flush mounted/carpet matched box that takes up the left side of the hatch/trunk.

I want to work with Brian to make a fiber enclosure for the trunk...We never got a chance to make those plans come through. Hopefully will get a chance this summer.

I agree with Alex, I would still like to work with Brian and do a fiberglass enclosure.

The sub enclosures are actually not that hard to make. Not work the group buy. A little trial and error and you should be able to make it

The only problem I have with these type of enclosures are that each speaker needs a different amount of airspace in the enclosure so you will not get the best sound quality with your sub.

if people are going to be doing it themselves i would like to get in on it. I have done some work with fiberglass boxes when i had my miata. I did a fiberglass box in the trunk, but it was a PIA and was quite time consuming. It sounded damn good once i finished it and made it thick enough to support the jl w7, as it collapsed the first time i got it hitting hard.

yea, it sucked ass bad. all that time and hard work but i didnt make it thick enough, so as soon as i started getting the bass of the w7 up fairly high it just caved in right in my drive way. i learned from the mistake though
