on an EJ22. Anyone wanna help me figure out how I can get it to stop? And how bad is this?

I just dropped $2000 on a new transmission, I am NOT putting another cent into this car until I am out of debt.

does it grind all the time or only when you start? It possibly could damage the flywheel. If you payed someone to install your trans. I would see if they would fix it if it just started after trans. work..Some manufacturers use shims to set the starter depth but I dont think subaru is one of them.

EDIT: Will oh my god you should see the car now. It shifts beautifully and everything works.
