sti cluster q

    hey, you know when you turn on ACC on the ignition on an STI and the cluster does the whole cool up/down half lit up thingy, is that a function in the cluster or of the oem ecu?

    just the cluster, i believe it is a self calibration

    It is my understanding that this is the cluster performing a quick self test.

    cool.

    so if i dropped one in, it would do it with no further intervention?

    sure! gimme .... how much are they going for, about $300? and then we'll find out. ^_^

    i did that on my wrx.. it stoped by heat and cold (temp gauge)from working and i was said that i need a new cluster.. so what u think dude? :(

    one of my friends who did the work on the gauge cluster.. he told me i might need a new cluster.. cause he thinks he broke the point pin in temp gauge :rolleyes:

    from mis-installation?

    or are they not swappable/drop in?
