So I just installed a TXS TMIC and thought it would be pretty sweet to have the "stock" ;-) STi marking on it. So I took a picture of the stocker STi TMIC and through photoshop magic and sizing and some crafty cuttin skillz I made this stencil that is the EXACT dimensions of the one of the stock TMIC. Printed on 11x17" paper. Make sure to have it AS FLAT as possible when doing the spraying, or else some of it will blow under. 1200deg Radiator spray paint was used.
Very nice man. That looks really good. I can't think of a better way to get the "perfect" stencil. What color paint specifically did you use?

:bowdownlease make sure you bring this to the next install day, or email it to me. i have a plotter at work i can print it out on.
Here is the stencil jpg. http://www.rayd.org/gallery/albums/20g/sti_stencil.jpg If you print it at 180dpi it should be right on size! 12.2" x 4.6" Of course when cutting it out, you can fix all the minor imperfections. I can also make sure it bring it to the next install day.

That looks really good. I want to make an APS stencil for my topmount, that looks really easy so I may copy the idea.

You could paint the entire IC a solid color, then spray the WRXatl ? You could find a silver Im sure, or maybe a black?
if we could find a vendor that had a router cutter....this could be very possible...Sakari Motorsports who does our stickers (i think) might be able to produce such a stencil?...I would be interested in this as well....is painting an intercooler perfectly fine......?
I think the wrx one would look good, but Id like to paint it blue like wrc color, does anyone know were to get that color paint?????? or @ least something that looks like it.
as long as its not blocking flow. a coat or 2 shouldnt matter that much as long as the stencil isnt too big. i think it would be cool to have WRXatlanta written on the ic. do it!
is that your car. what intake is that? i like the white conector tube with the maf on it. i like the first one only cause it says WRXatlanta. people might not know what WA is. however i do like the avatar. :bigthumb:

that WA graphic would require a 3 part stencil, which would be a pain in the ass. make it flow grasshopper
I used to work at a graphics/vinyl shop for 5 years...let me know if we want to buy a bulk amount of these...I actually have already saved all the Subaru logos up there when I went in to make some SPT stickers. Let me know.
Tried it....didn't work....too busy I like the star it adds a subaru touch to it....it's slightly rotated though so shouldn't run into copyright infringment. And it's just one star. I'll make the "w" and "a" touch so it would be just one stencil Small words like wrx atlanta.com probably wouldn't be readable anyway on the intercooler....
i wasnt getting onto you for the star. i like it! im not really sure if its copyrighted or not, but that is the only place ive seen a star like that. i was just tring to point that out when it was brought up to remove it.
I know you gots my back on that.... I was refering to a possible copyright infringment....which is a very valid consideration, I'm glad you brought that up....
