What do yall think about the following tires compaired to each other?
They seem similar, but I am looking for the differences between them...

    Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212 $99

    Falken Fk452 $94

    Falken Azenis Rt615 $112

good steering response eh... probably something with a stiff sidewall and make sure you have Whiteline steering rack bushings installed, here is a TiC link. I've read that the bushings will make a significant difference and but I yet to install mine. What price range are you looking into for tires?

I've ran Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 on a RWD car and steering feels pretty good, but its on the expensive side

On the STi, my Falken RT615s are excellent in steering response and loads of grip in dry. I never drive fast in the wet/rain, so they are good for regular driving in the wet.

ditto on the 615s :naughty: I am running them and love them. Good grip and pretty good wet weather handling.

I will be buying these again once i go thru my current set.

+43 for the kdw-2's. They are freaking SICK tires... dry handling is AWESOME and wet is nearly the same. You almost forget it's raining...

You could always look for some Advan take-off's from an Evo as well.

I'm on KDW-2s now and I honestly think they suck, the overall grip is good, but the steering response is no where near as good as the Neovas.

I had KDW-2 and I think the sidewall is just waaaaaay too soft. They're also noisy. Check out the Falken 452's. That might be a better choice int he same category. Plus they're only $100 or so at most places for 245/40/17

If you're on a budget mindset check out the escta spt's. One of the things that gives the STi some of its handling characterisitcs is how it responds to a stiff sidewall, it makes a world of difference in these cars. I am all for a stiff sidewall and have much love for the evo take-offs and the re070s.

I believe BC2003UGA was running the kdw-2's in the mountains the other weekend, and he seemed to like them, maybe he'll chime in.

I'm running the BFG G-Force KDW N/T's. I love them. They never squeeled or complained once screaming around the mountains last week. I'm excited to go back soon now that i have some suspension goodies to compliment them....

I just got these installed a couple weeks ago and have just gotten around to really pushing them in the dry (gotta love the freak weather). They seem to handle as well in the wet and dry as my Bridgestone S03s but with more sidewall flex, never taken either to a track. They were around $80 a tire.

    ^^
    I was in same situation.
I went with the 615s b/c I found a better price. If u search on nasioc or iwsti you will see they are pretty much even.. Get 615s and be happy :)

So 615 or 452? What are the good and bad of each?

Search on boards. somone got some 452s here and loved them.

452s may have a little better tread wear rating.
