sorry guys havnt read much into this really....on my last 2 cars i have had i dropped them on the stock struts. The integra did horribly because the struts were weak, the spec v did fine because they were stronger. How are the stock struts on the wrx as far as having lowering springs? Do they hold up alright? I dont want a huge drop because i dont want to scrape all over the place but i was lookin at the teins because i have had them before and was rather impressed. Whats some other good brands for the wrx? sorry for the lowsy questions. :wavey:

Stock struts are fine as far as I know, I replaced mine with KYB's and used Whiteline Flatout springs and love it... perfect drop...

sweet thanks guys...my struts have a good amount of mileage on them so im thinkin gonna get a used set of struts with low mileage and put the drop on them.

If you plan on doing any performance driving with curves (i.e. road/track events, auto-x) you would be better off going with something like the STI pinks made for the WRX. The S-Techs bring the car lower than the suspension specifications allow for. If you just want a slammed look, and are just driving around town, the s-techs are the springs for you! Not knocking the S-techs, as they are good at what they are designed for, they are just not designed for going fast around curves....

If you want to wait, I'll be selling my STI v8 struts, with whiteline springs and grp-n hardened top hats. They'd be a great Auto-x setup. I just need to get my coilovers inspected before I throw them on the car.

I thought the STi pink springs weren't a good match for the WRX struts. As in, although they would work, but the life of the struts would be shortened. Maybe I'm wrong. However getting STi struts is almost cost prohibitively expensive (for new ones anyway).

I've heard good things about prodrive springs, good drop/handling wise, and they are just fine with the stock WRX struts.

I have Prodrive springs.... they were on my car when i bought it.. so i dont know how they handle compaired to stock but.... i think the car handles pretty well... and IMO the drop is perfect.. also my right rear shock is messed up :( .. it makes noise when i go over bumps and such... i had it checked out when i bought the car.. they said it wasent blown, but it wasent working perfectly either... im not sure if this is caused by the springs or not... im planing on getting some agx's or koni's for x-mas anyway, so its not a big concern to me..... anyways, good luck with the decision Brian :wiggle:

alex shoot me a price via PM.....

clay my last car did that and it was the rubber bushing part. If you push down on your car were the struts making noise it will make like a popping or squeeking noise or waht not.
