stupid silencer

    So i bought a catback and the damn silencer is stuck. why do they even have those things. anyway does anyone have any advice to get these things out right now its just pliers and pb blaster. which is not working at all.

    ha I remember asking this question.

    get two needle nose...and yank it out with ALL your strength. use your weight if you have to.

    wd40 is your friend

    Try pulling it out when the exhaust is warm or hot.

    two days later a map torch and 3 bottles of pb blaster later.... ITS OUT!!! thanks for your help

    So true. I had to use copious amounts of WD40 when I went open DP for like 3 days. It was fun....lots of clanging and shit goin' on. Thankfully nothing damaged.

    another trick... drive your car for a while so the exhaust gets hot (expands the metal) then when you stop get some compressed CO2 and freeze the silencer(shrinks the metal). If its just a pressure fit, it'll slide right out, but thats assuming your tip isn't bent at all.
