    Probably because it hasn't done any real damage to stock vehicles. It's not GOOD for the car, but have you heard of an engine blowing on a bone stock 04/05 for this reason?

    That's because closed loop is shooting for that ideal a/f ratio. I agree it's serious WTF for a turbo car under boost.

    isnt that something they did for emmissions? that and a pre turbo cat... both might help emmissions but i wouldnt want either one on my car

    Yes, it's from the EPA emissions regulations... the NASIOC thread has all the details if you want to wade through the 25 or so pages of posts.

    probably not... i should be doccumenting what ive been doing over the past couple months here right now instead of browsing ;)
