I'm pretty sure a lot of people get popping. However, I don't remember what the remedy for it was.

Pm'd you. Often, if there is a popping noise it means the bar i binding a little, check the tightness of the bolts. Also check the bolts where the endlinks connect to the bar, make sure the washers are on the right side of the bolts. If not, the endlink bushing can back out a little and cause some popping noise...

Mine were loose, so I tightened them a bit more (I tightened them earlier whilst on a stand) and it went away for the most part. I do get some popping when its wet out. That maybe the bushings, I dunno

Bolt is too tight on the endlink. The endlink has to be able to swivel. It should have a small amount of torque on the bolt. Probably around 20ft./lbs..

that sounds like what it could be. but otherwise, it's pretty normal to get popping noise when you go over bumps right?

No, it shouldn't pop. The only noise a swaybar should make if installed properly is a squeek. That would be from the sway bar bushings rubbing against a bar with no lube. This can be remedied by teflon tap wrapped around the bar and Li grease.

Remember that the endlinks have to be tightened with your car on the ground, or at least ramps.

Just checked my Subaru Service Manual, the endlink to swaybar should be 18.1 ft./lbs. and endlink to lateral link should be 33.2 ft./lbs.

it turns out that my front one was over the tie-rods, and the rear ones were just loose. it was a PITA to get it fixed, but Ped helped me out (well, he did all of it haha).

Is it a metal on metal thud, rattle, or a pop that you feel coming? That will sort of help with the description.

i think it's a metal on metal kind of sounds, but i cant tell if it is coming from the endlinks or the bracket... it's most likely the bracket i think...

This is bizarre since I never had an issue with noise...Did you check the bolts going to the end links? I have a hard time believing that it has anything to do with the mounting brackets...

i took it to Will at SOG, and he took a quick drive. it turns out that it just needs to be lubricated haha. it was an another 'noob' day for me, because Will helped me out with the sway bars and Scott helped me with the AP haha.

I hate sway bar noise. But I love going around corners. :)

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
