Tanabe vs. Eibach

    So I'm sort of compiling a wrx wishlist and I'm kind of stuck on a spring decision. The top two candidates seem to be the Tanabe GF210 springs and the Eibach pro-kit. I'm sure some people on here have one of these options so I wanted to hear opinions. Or if there is any others you reccomend. I'm looking to make my car an enhanced daily driver. I want there to be performance and aesthetic values to the springs. I really do not want to worry about upgrading shocks. I also don't want my car to be slammed to the point where driving on crappy atlanta roads is going to be a hazzard when it comes to bottoming out (this is kind of ruling out s-techs in my mind).

    While I'm at it, I want to ask about sway bars. I drive an 02-03 and definitely want to get a rear (Whiteline 24mm adjustable probably). I was wondering what size front sway I should get, or if it's really even neccesary. I've heard that with 02-03s the rear is the best to upgrade (due to the small size of the stock one). Also would I need upgraded mounts and/or endlinks with these sways. Once again I'm not looking for a dedicated auto-xer here. I want a nice handeling daily driver that I occasionally bring out an scca event.

    Hmm, i just got my GF210s put on. And I can definately feel the road a lot more with them. I havent had my alignment yet so i havent really pushed my car yet. Sway bars were the first things i did and they made a pretty big difference. I got a 24mm Rear and a 22mm Front. I still have stock endlinks.

    No sways for me, just my eibach kit, just stock with 18's and eibach springs. Having driven a couple wrx's that were just stock I can say these do make a noticeable difference, but I have heard with some adjustable shocks it can be even better.

    I know that some more people have these springs. And I damn sure know that some of you people know way too much about sway bars :)

    Save money, buy my whiteline springs :) But if you'd seriously like to talk about upgrade paths gimme a call one night.

    Alex, what's your #? I could use some info on upgrade options. Also, when are we havin the next G2G?

    The Eibach's don't give an even drop. The front needs to be a little more to balance out the look. They are decent performers, but there are springs with higher rates for about the same price (Espiler). I currently run the Eibach's, but I am looking to upgrade to a more competitive setup. I ran them with the stock struts for a long time with no problems and have them with the KYB AGX's right now.

    I also have the 24-26mm Whiteline RSB. This is by far the best option. Since you will not be doing serious competition, the FSB is not really necessary. I still use the stock rear endlinks. The endlinks can be debateable, some think you need to upgrade some don't. Get the springs and if you think you need to upgrade them because of a noise or they feel squeeshy then get the endlinks. Personally, I like a smoother transition back there. I don't want it to be so tight that the car just spins out.

    p.s. I am selling my Eibach's if you are interested. Make sure you get camber bolts, because an alignment is more important than any of the upgrades.

    Also, are doing an alignment with camber bolts something that needs to be professionally done?

    That kit is way overdone. http://www.fastwrx.com/wrx1orcaad.html. You just need something like that. Its basically the same thing as the top bolts that connect to the brake knuckle on your OE front suspension. Just two cylindrical bolts.

    No you don't have to have it professionally done. Any alignment shop can do this, just make sure they will allow you to tell them the specs that you want. Some shops will only give you an OE alignment.
