I finally was able to pick up the Tein Flexes off Milo's bugeye last weekend while we were in Atlanta for Nopi. Even after a 4 hr drive home (we hauled ass home :wiggle: ) I just couldn't take it easy Sunday so I installed the Teins. Man what a breeze compared to the stockers. I still have to get an alignment and the rear camber kit is way out of whack but this morning's drive to work was the funnest ever. I was simply GLUED to all the turns and curves.

Right now I am on stock sways and endlinks so the damper is set 16 from softest front and 19 from softest rear. Yes it's stiff and yes it will rattle your brain but the handling and all will easily overcome the comfort. I took a turn onto a side road this morning at 60 mph and could still give it more gas but don't want to push the car until I learn it now. I normally couldn't take this turn over 40 without the tires sliding and all.

So in short if you can afford it get the Tein Flexes.....YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!:ddirty: :ddirty: :ddirty: :ddirty:

    Thanks Milo!

Alignment scheduled today at 1:00! You need to see the camber in the rear....lol I got Whiteline camber kit to fix the rear. From what I understand the stock front camber bolts will straighten that up good enough.

Basically some very expensive scales are placed underneath the wheels of the car while its up on the alignment rack. The goal is to adjust the preload an such so that the weight is balanced on all 4 corners. Glad you like them!

So anytime I add something in car whether in the trunk or whatnot I throw the corner balance off? Makes sense.

Thats my interpretation, I have no idea whether or not I am correct. Did a google search and here's what I came up with.

Got my alignment today. Man cost me $131!!! Reason so high? They had to take the front bumper off in order to get the car on the alignment rack. Sucks being lowered and having Sti splitters with V limited lip. Oh well it handles like a DREAM! I'm loving it and loving it some more.

The initial settings were -2 camber front -2.5 in the rear with +1.5 toe all the way around...lol. I needed that alignment bad!

New settings are 0 toe all around and -1.4 camber up front and -1.2 in the rear. Not to bad and tire wear should be better than before.

The camber plates are preset at 2 degrees so if I go to a track day I can push the plates out for -2.5 or so of front camber for wicked handling.

you should get the 6gun ball joint extenders... on a lowered car they will make more difference than any other suspension mod you could do.

Also if you have someone corner balance your car make sure the adjust the height at the strut body and not by just lowering the spring. We ran an off the shelf tein flex coilover setup on the one lap car this year, and it worked great. But the key to making it work was having it setup right and one good alignment from SOG.

I actually had a lengthy discussion with Hoppe about these last week. Here's some info from the 6gun site.
