you arent really losing topend. the td04 doesnt flow much up top, but flows extremely well down low, which is why you have 350wft/lbs at 3k. Those are pretty impressive numbers for the stock turbo, congrats

Yeah this is what is looks like from a ihi vf34. That is so you can compare the IHI VF34 to the TD04

    2.5liter 06 wrx

man i wanted my number's to look like your's miloman. but i guess next is turbo upgrade . the small turbo is just choking so i think i need bigger. i want my power at the end of my redline not the beginning. i didn't know that vf34 could hit 300awhp? so whata think i should get 16g, 18g, 20g ?

300whp is not very ambitous. got for broke. don't buy a smaller turbo and leave youself wanting more. It just ends up costing you a lot more in the end. Start saving for something big with an external wastegate.

If you are anything like me you will get bored with the power very quickly. Even 347whp/387tq doesn't cut it for me anymore.

very true! i 'm already looking for something to add. i think i might go with 20g. hows it feel at 347whp? thats actually what i was shoooting for around 350?

honestly it feels slow. I was going to go with a 20g for the wrx but I ended up buying another subaru to play with that has 2 more cylinders. I figure on my wrx the 20g would have gotten me pretty close to 400whp with meth. If I were you the 20g would be the smallest I would go with.

it sucks when a curve like this isn't exciting anymore.

its the meth talking. that stuff will rot your brain. you'll see. it won't be long before a simple shot of meth will leave you wanting a bigger better buzz. soon you'll find youself mixing things with the meth for an even bigger kick:naughty:

nothing is wrong with your #'s. a small turbo with lots of displacement will get you a lot of torque early and then drop off. your numbers are very good for a td04. there is only so much a turbo can do and yours has to be about maxed out. I am sure Doug has gotten the most out of your setup that he safely can. my advice is to enjoy it while you can and start saving.

Shorty, get a 20g. Topspeed is having a sale on them until tomorrow, so you can get a deal. :naughty:

check out the post under the vendor section.
