topspeed tune this afternoon

    so pretty disappointing day with scott.
    1st pull was promising with 21X/235 picking up almost 20 in hp/torque. unfortunately that would be about the best of the day

    every subsequent pull afterwards, went downwards. boost wouldn't peak past around 16.5 and taper down to 7 and/or 8.

    scott pulled off the wastegate vacuum to see what would happen...16 lbs peak 7/8 taper. that should have resulted in infinite boost but nothing different happened. so that made scott wonder about the wastegate itself. scott adjusted the wastegate arm a full 3 turns...talk about a soft spring! it helped alittle but not much.

    soooooooooooooooooooooooooo a vf39 swap, walbro and retune is scheduled for next wednesday morning

    Bad news that the car is not making the power. I am sure a new actuator will fix it.

    did you look at the old turbo yet? Was it cracked or something???

    Its coming off wednesday when we swap in the 39. Its a bad wastegate and actuator

    235/7-ish and mid 260's in torque. i can deal with it, especcialy with the slushbox
