I got my car painted and the bodyshop didn't do a great job of putting things back together.

It does not stay in place...any ideas?

There is no resistance from the gas tank cover so even when I pull the switch, it doesn't open automatically. I actually have to have someone pull it while I use a credit card to get it open. Any ideas?

Looks like they forgot to put the U shaped clip on the lock that holds it in place.

Maybe the alignment of the hinge is off on the gas cover

Thank you for the response! I fixed both of them today. The U shaped clip is prob lost in the bodyshop so I improvised using electrical tape..Lol!

I took the gas cover apart and I figured out why it wasn't coming out when I pulled the switch

the metal looking piece screwed to the bolt in the center is supposed to be on the other side of the gas cover so it prevents the gas cover from going in all the way...here is a pic after fixing:

    Thank you for the suggestions!
