I am looking for a turbo for the ej25 and was wondering what you guys thought are good applications for an affordable price? meaning I can't afford the rotated kits and I would also like to stick with the stock sti tmic too. I am only looking for about 350 whp for now as this is my daily driver and need the reliability.

18g will definitely suit your goals. 16g might be a little small, but would probably spool a tad faster. though i think with the 16g you might lose some top end.

    so 18g

I would get a 20G for the 2.5. You can usually find used ones pretty cheap and the lag is not very noticeable at all. Just think of it as foreplay.

FP Green on a 2.5 should be just as streetable as the VF39 albeit with much more power on tap throughout the entire rev range. 18Gs are tricky on 2.5s, some creep and surge like a mofo, some work well with insta-torque. If you go 18G at least get the 8cm hot side or you'll hate the top end.

20g at a minimum and consider buying a used one as well.
