Turbo timer

    Does any one know what needs to be done in order wire the HKS turbo timer

    to the 02 wrx sercurity system so that when the timer shuts off the car is

    automaticly locked?

    Any takers?:wavey:

    No idea but could you not just lock it up and leave it running on the timer. Maybe use passive arming?? I too am curious since (I want to do this mod too.

    That is a good question.

    I would call any local stereo and alarm installations place. I'm sure someone has delt with that question before. And if not those guys install that kind of stuff everyday so it should be a good place to start.

    Well an after market company may know how to complete the job with an after

    market system but maybe not with the factory. but I will try a few thanks.

    I am thinking if you lock the doors close the car I wire a door switch parallel

    with the hks timer, when the timer goes off then the car would think the

    door just closed with the doors locked so it would arm the alarm. But I don`t

    know if that will work.

    I did a wiring mod that I found on scoobymods.com on my old bugeye that allowed me to remotely lock the car while it was still running on the timer. It worked great. However, as I continued to mod the car, specifically when I added group N mounts, I found that the vibration at idle after I locked the car was enough to upset my vibration sensor and set the alarm off. So this will work the best on a car without the optional vibration sensor.
