Anybody want to meet up at the Varsity this thursday? It's the local monthly meet over there. Sometimes some good cars but no other WRXs ever. I'll be up in the downtown area anyways if anybody's got other ideas. -Bobby
I might go. I live really close to there, so I usually stop by for a few minutes to look at the cars then leave. The Varsity meets usually bring out some pretty good cars. I've never been to any of the other IL/IA meets though. So I don't know what they are like.
What time does it normally get going? We could just meet up at a certain time regardless of the other cars there.

i belive i will head that way, i used to go to it every first thursday of the month with the importlounge guys, but then it turned into a crazy rice scene with people fighting and talking tons of smack and even pulling out guns...but the grease is calling my name
I live walking distance, so I'll prob. just walk there. More than likely though, Ill be out taking photos for the calendar though.

It was fun when it started. I was a durty and invited the IL guys to hang as well. Then word got out and all the crackhead bling f00ls started showing up. It lost it's luster, for me, al long time ago. I won't return. Trivia, this meet will mark the 3 year anniversary.

i went one time and i didnt like it much and i probably wont go back... seemed very 'fast and furious'... however, it was nice meeting a friend from stealth/3000gt club

I'll be working. I went out there once it was just alright until you get hit up for money for 100th time by the same bum they are like cats. if you givem a $1 they wont go away.

ok so about 7-8 of us are going.. still gotta get back with 420, but you all can hang out with me, yeah the varsity is weak when it comes to atmosphere, plus it seems to be getting cold again, so who knows how long ill stay, but ill be there the whole time hopefully, just look for a black wrx with a nice dent in the drivers side door.
Directions to The Varsity: North Ave. Exit and take a left and the Varsity is on your left across from the BP ....or you can get off at the 17th/14th/10th exit and turn left on either of those streets and go to Spring St. (first street you come to) Turn right on Spring and follow it down until you see the Big V on the right. the biggest problem i have is i live 40 miles away and just to drive there and it suck and have to come back is not worth it.
on a scale of 1-10 in worth, i would say the varsity is a 6, only due to some really nice supras/VWs showing up.
yea i can see that........i honestly only like going to wrxatl meets because everyone is so much cooler and nicer. The IA meets, etc.. are gay because a bunch of riced out 2 fast 2 furious kids show up. Not to sound biased but i have seen it to many times.
sorry guys. i got there at 7pm and realized that their was fuel leaking out. So i drove home and put some new O rings in because the new sti pinks O rings were ripped. hummm........
I drove all the way from Athens and got there about 7. The only person I saw was a VW Jeta that looked good, he was leaving. I hug around until 7.30 or so and saw not one WRX.
ReTodd, you were there way to early, got there around 9:30 and the lot was packed. Lots of people show up later. I think the pretty much start showing up around 9 to 10.
yeah it was pretty packed up there last night, i was impressed. usually the cold drives them away, (no pun intended) and damn it was cold.. good meeting you guys that showed up.. special thanks to 420, you rock, and thanks for the PM ill pass it along to my gf.
It was neat seeing some of the cars. There was a black NSX for sale with 125k miles for $25,000 ish. Two cars had lambo doors. Plenty of s2000's, plenty of wrx's/sti's, evos. A few supras. I actually liked it. Plus I met a friend of mine there who races often on Road Atlanta and Little Tally.
I had a great time, even if it was cold. There were a lot of cool cars there, especially the 1000 HP Yellow Supra!!. It was tight!!. It was good seeing you all that showed up. Blink, the website for my friend's company is www.phoenixxsys.com. Later.... Mark
