I was thinking of replacing the turbo on my other WRX with an STi turbo and i was wondering if i would have to change any internals or could i just bolt it on and get it tuned?

bolt it up and get tuned. you may need another intercooler though. Bigger injectors too

no, they wont. sti injectors are side seed.unless you mean STI pinks...

and TMIC with the sti vf39 = LAG

    stick with a sti tmic.

    I think he means FMIC

If you're going to do a front mount, you're going to want to use a bigger turbo to make it worth your time.

But with a bigger turbo ill need to do internal work right?

I have a VF39 on my EJ20. It is a very drivable fun car with acceptable fuel efficency. Do you already have a full exhaust? If not make sure you get one before you swap turbos.

that should be all you need, well maybe a walbro fuel pump but that should be it. See this link for a dyno graph of that exact setup...Runfile 002:

Yes I already have a Cobb 3" turboback, Injen CAI, and a Apexi turbo timer. About to order a new VF39, STi pinks, and Walboro 255 :) and then off to TopSpeed!
