Well, I dropped the wagon off at Batlground this afternoon so that she can get some new accessories. Can't wait to pick her up tomorrow!hnoes:
And hopefully, you will jack this thread and fill it with install pics while I am at work...trust me I would rather be there taking the photos!
I love grocery getters! I wish I had a wagon. Nothing cooler than having a fast, grocery getter, sleeper, wagon.
Funny, Matt and I were saying the same thing. If you noticed all of the dog hair in the back...wagon = room for the dog, plus a few bags of groceries . I guess, when you guys finish, I might need to get the dog a seat belt.
Update Luckily, while on the dyno and not on 285 or 400 this afternoon, the Y-Pipe underneath the intercooler decided to give out. We ordered a new one and will have the car back together tomorrow. iirc...it put down 232/229 For The Wagon!
I got the wagon back, and its like driving a brand new car. Thanks to Dan, Matt and Brandon over at Batlground for their great work! Up-Pipe comes next. A special Thanks goes out to bluetwo for the Tactrix cable. :bigthumb: New and Improved Y-Pipe Borla Hush the full 3" back Invidia/Borla
I really have noticed a huge difference...power is readily available now, very little lag; but I am still waiting on the up-pipe, which should help the turbo spool faster and maybe give me 7-10 more hp. Everyone was surprised that the car put down the numbers it did w/o the up-pipe.
The Prodrive y-pipe is still on the stock I/C. Why, you want it? :sx: STi hood scoop and splitter goes on Monday.
Did you get the up-pipe? Are you sure the previous owner didn't already put on on? We found out mine had one when we pulled the motor the first time after I bought one.
I have a '02 wagon and have wanted to make changes but I do not want a lot of exhaust noise . I would be interested in a listen and your opinion of your upgrades if possible . kayakrsteve wh2osteve@yahoo.com
Was there a reason you didn't wait get the downpipe intstalled until you were ready for the uppipe? I would think the shop would give you a way better price for the combo considering the DP has to come out for the uppipe to go in...
I also have an '02 wagon and did not want a lot of noise. I went with an STI cat back and a stromung DP / with catted mid pipe. I also installed a STI up pipe (catless). I am very happy with the noise level (or lack there of). It is louder and has more of a deep rumble, but it is not offensive in any way. My wife rode in it for the first time after stage 2 and did not even comment on the noise level (of course AC and radio were on). Very happy with it. If you want to listen to mine, shoot me a PM - I am in south Forsyth area.
I love your exhaust setup. I was thinking of doing the same setup as you are. But i have a 02 WRX, no wagon here. Is there a video to show me how loud the exhaust is? thx
No video...come out to Andretti's on Monday nights or PM me and we can meet up. Here are 2 videos from fastwrx.com...I used them to get an idea. Start & Idle Idle to Redline
damn that sound so good. Give me a link to the exhaust where i can order it, im gonna go and order it right now. I think Mike has that exhaust, doesn't he?
Give Matt a call down at Batlground...he can beat most prices. Besides, we need to support our vendors so they can eat!
If i give em a call, will they have the exhaust and the piping? Or do i have to come in with my own shiznet?
^^^I would think he would have to order it for you...he might be able to get it in by the time you get you tranny fixed. Never know...just call him.
Just got back from getting retuned after installing the Up-Pipe and STi TMIC. Wagon feels great...smoother and a boost is sustained a bit longer. But, the front O2 sensor died while on the dyno. :unamused: Wanted to thank Alex and Rick for coming out and keeping me company. Next updates will include the new wheels and swaybars :ddirty: The blue line is from the tune back in May.
